Book a survey
Forty minutes, free, and you get the written schedule within three working days.
We measure, check suction, tap for blown plaster and test anything that looks pre-2000. You get a fixed quote, a preparation schedule, and your cancellation rights on paper at the same time.

Photographs are genuinely useful — send them and we can give you a bracket before anyone visits.

Stamford, Lincolnshire PE9 2YQ
Hours
- Monday to Friday · 7:30–17:00
- Saturday · 9:00–12:00, yard only
- Sunday · closed
- Surveys are usually Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
There is no emergency number
Nothing about paint is urgent, and the drying times make a night call-out pointless. Anyone in this trade advertising 24-hour cover is selling you something else. If a ceiling has come down, ring a plasterer or your insurer first — we will come after the drying.
Where we work
Twenty-five miles, and honest about the edge of it.
Inside the ring we quote travel at nothing. Outside it we will still come, but the day rate carries the mileage and we will say so before you book.
- No travel charge
- Stamford, Ketton, Easton on the Hill, Collyweston, Barnack, Uffington, Ryhall, Great Casterton
- Regularly
- Oakham, Uppingham, Bourne, Market Deeping, Rutland Water villages, Peterborough north of the A47
- By arrangement
- Grantham, Corby, Kettering, Spalding — mileage in the day rate, stated at quote
- Not really
- Leicester, Nottingham, Cambridge. We would be taking your money for sitting in a van.
What you get in writing, and when
Because we agree the work in your home, it is an off-premises contract under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. That gives you fourteen days to cancel, without giving a reason.
At the survey you get, on paper: the fixed quote, the preparation schedule, the total price including VAT, our registered details, the complaints route — and the cancellation notice with the model cancellation form. If you want us to start inside the fourteen days, there is a separate line for you to sign asking us to.
The exemption for urgent repairs does not apply to decorating, so we do not pretend it does. Your work also carries the Consumer Rights Act 2015 s49 term of reasonable care and skill, which cannot be contracted out of, and anything we have told you about the job forms part of the contract under s50.
