Services & pricing

What we treat, what it costs, and what to expect.

Three disciplines under one roof, priced individually so you know what you're booking before you book it.

Chiropractic

Spinal manipulation and extremity adjustment, explained before it happens.

Dr Marcus Hale treats back and neck pain, cervicogenic headache, sacroiliac joint dysfunction and disc-related symptoms using spinal manipulation, extremity adjustment and posture analysis. Most patients feel pressure or a stretch, not pain — and a first adjustment can always be made gentler on request.

Manual therapy and a programme built for the movement you actually do.

Elin Bowen treats sciatica, tendinopathy, frozen shoulder, ACL and post-surgical rehab, and general MSK pain, combining manual therapy and soft-tissue release with an exercise programme designed around your sport, job or daily routine — not a generic handout.

Insurance & self-pay

Most private medical insurers cover physiotherapy and podiatry in full.

Bupa AXA Health Vitality WPA

Most policies require pre-authorisation before your first appointment — call the musculoskeletal line on your insurance card and quote our practice details, or ask us and we'll talk you through it. Chiropractic cover varies more by insurer and policy tier than physiotherapy or podiatry does, so it's worth checking before you book if you're planning to claim. Self-pay patients are just as welcome, and pay at the time of appointment.

Before you write

Questions we're asked most

Do I need a referral from my GP?

No. All three disciplines at Plinth are self-referral — you can book directly without seeing your GP first. If you're claiming through medical insurance, check with your insurer, as some require pre-authorisation or a referral before they'll pay.

Will treatment hurt?

Most manual therapy and chiropractic adjustment feels like pressure or a stretch, not pain. Tell your clinician if anything's uncomfortable — a first chiropractic adjustment can always be modified to be gentler on request.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Loose clothing that lets us see and move the joint or area involved, any relevant scan or GP letter you already have, and a list of current medication. For podiatry, bring the shoes you wear most often.

How many sessions will I need?

We won't know until we've assessed you — anyone who quotes a number before that is guessing. Your written plan sets out a realistic range, reviewed at every appointment.

Is my insurance accepted?

We work with Bupa, AXA Health, Vitality and WPA. Most require pre-authorisation before your first appointment — call your insurer's musculoskeletal line first, or ask us and we'll talk you through it.

Know which discipline you need? Book it directly.

Not sure? Say so on the form — we'll point you to the right clinician.
