Contact

Two doors, and it matters which one you use

A breakdown is a phone call. Everything else can be a form. Sending a P1 through a contact form costs you the four-hour window, so please do not.

Ring the desk

Staffed by an engineer 24 hours, every day. They can see your asset register while you are talking and they are the person who attends.

Planned work

Book a survey

Free, half a day on a typical site, and you keep the asset register and condition report whatever you decide. Answered within one working day — usually the same one.

Survey enquiry

Tell us what is on the roof

You do not need to know the make or the model. Anything you can tell us shortens the survey; anything you cannot, we will find.

We reply within one working day. Your details are used to answer this enquiry and nothing else, and we do not add anyone to a mailing list.

Service radius

Drawn, not surveyed. Rings are drive time from Tyseley in normal traffic. Contracted P1 attendance applies inside the 90-minute ring; beyond it we will still come, on the rate card.

Before you ring

Four things that halve the time on the phone

Where the plant is, and who has the key

Roof, plant room, ceiling void or outside on a flank wall — and whether we need a key, a fob, a permit or an escort. Access is the single most common reason a four-hour attendance becomes six.

What it is doing, not what you think is wrong

“The office is warm and the unit is running” is more useful than “the compressor has gone”. If there is a fault code on the controller, read it out; if there is ice on a pipe, say where.

Whether anyone has been at it already

Including a caretaker resetting a breaker. It is not a criticism — it genuinely changes what we bring. A system that has been topped up recently by somebody else needs a leak test, not more gas.

How critical it actually is

A warm meeting room and a failing server-room cooler are both real, and they are not the same priority. Tell us honestly and we will agree the priority level with you on the call rather than assigning one afterwards.

Out of hours

What happens at 2am

The number goes to whichever of four senior engineers is on call that week, on their own handset. They open your site record before they answer, so you are not describing your own building to a stranger.

If it is a P1 they will tell you the attendance time on the call and text you the engineer's name and registration when they set off. If it is something that can safely wait until morning they will say that too, and tell you what to switch off in the meantime — because a call that does not become a callout is a better outcome for both of us.
