# Verification record

Date: 12 October 2026. Selected source: A / Moonlit passage.

## Checked locally

- All 18 page/plan combinations at 390px and 1440px: correct page, one page heading and no horizontal overflow (36 checks).
- The same 36 page/screen checks in the native FastSites preview. The native header fits a 390px phone, and book navigation opens the expected page.
- Desktop Explore menu and a phone canvas inside a wide studio; book/game navigation and plan fallback.
- Book excerpt tab, scene selector, map locations, character selector, chapter text size, scripted guide and its close action.
- All five light/dark pairs and six reference layouts; guide pages and download actions.
- Pointer depth and system reduced motion; offline HTML with network requests blocked.
- Real FastSites public editor: change hero title, reload, restore title; change an internal destination and reload. Both edits persisted in that browser's isolated preview storage. Upload a cover through the image chooser and details dialog, then reload: the image persists, uses contain sizing, and fills its 267 by 401px frame.
- Native pointer parallax and the global motion-off switch. Depth tracking now reacquires SVG layers when the native renderer refreshes the illustration, instead of retaining detached elements.
- Native registration checks include theme shape, stylesheet delivery, contrast, logo, animation, footer and heading classification. The new theme uses the existing asynchronous family stylesheet loader.
- One independent source review. Fixed the shared unlisted type, public catalogue filtering, replacement-image wrappers and shared palette roles.
- Reviewed the shared renderer diff before updating its portable-export source pin. It adds Moonlit cases; Tradesman rendering is unchanged.

The original template production build compiled, type-checked and completed successfully. Native book navigation, parallax, motion-off and cover upload/reload/geometry checks also passed against that production build.

## Evidence location

`design/starlight-moonlit/checks.json`, `editor-checks.json`, `native-checks.json`, verification scripts and screenshots accompany the implementation. The original three-direction concept export is kept unchanged as `approved-concepts.html`.

## Limits

- The game link and authentic images are pending. The owner-confirmed book title and Amazon destination have been added. Sample book/game/world copy is not publication approval.
- Local preview storage is not evidence of signed-in account sync, a customer publish or an Amazon transaction.
- A flat uploaded hero image is static. The original illustrated hero provides the separate parallax layers.
- Reference-only studio controls and scripted chat are documented in the handoff. Native customer pages keep platform legal links and native editing tools.
- The theme is unlisted, not access-controlled: anyone with an explicit preview URL can view it. No private manuscript or account information is included.

## Starfield revision

The forest artwork was replaced with layered original star artwork at the owner's request. Focused browser checks verify changing star opacity, pointer depth, five distinct palette colours, visitor pause/resume, the native Star shimmer variable, global motion off and reduced motion. Desktop and phone captures are in `stars-desktop.png` and `stars-phone.png`; `stars-checks.json` records the results. Existing page, navigation and offline checks also pass. Native live checks and the completed staging build are recorded after deployment in the release evidence.
