  5. Helpful motion, never spectacle

Three clichés to avoid

  1. Generic luxury gold-on-black
  2. Invented social proof and unverified sustainability claims
  3. Dense sale banners that overwhelm the clothing

07 / SYSTEM TOKENS

The parts that hold together.

Typography

Display: Georgia, regular and italic; 64–142px desktop, 46–80px mobile; tight tracking and 0.95–1.08 line height.

Utility: Arial; 9–12px uppercase navigation and labels with wide tracking. Body copy 16–20px, generous line height.

Motion

Underline reveal 160ms; CTA lift 200ms; dropdown fade and translate 180ms; mobile panel slide 220ms. Honour reduced motion.

Five palette pairs

  1. Stone & Wine — light #F7F5EF / #582A2E; dark #201B1C / #B98288
  2. Bone & Ink — light #F5F3EC / #242424; dark #1D1D1D / #DAD4C8
  3. Sand & Olive — light #EFE9DC / #4C5640; dark #20241D / #A7B596
  4. Blush & Plum — light #F5E8E5 / #552D47; dark #251B24 / #C58DAA
  5. Chalk & Cobalt — light #F5F6F2 / #2C4C86; dark #17243B / #8FAEE8

Each pair maps to semantic roles: paper (background), ink (text), muted (secondary text), wine (action), line (divider), and collection (section surface).

Imagery

Use real full-length fit frames, portrait crops, and tactile details. Keep faces and hems inside the safe crop. Replace every demo image with licensed, approved photography at matching aspect ratios. EU favours architecture, UK craft details, US bolder lifestyle frames.

Header + footer

The sticky header uses a narrow wordmark, measured link rhythm, one enquiry action, and a mobile panel. The footer closes with a brand statement, grouped page links, regional sample contact formats, hours, social placeholder, and legal link.

08 / WHY IT WORKS

Beautiful enough to explore.
Clear enough to use.

The theme leads with an ownable editorial mood, then answers the practical questions that matter for clothing: fit, imagery, scope, returns, and contact. Mini, Standard, and Premium share one identity; layouts and regional editions change presentation without changing the core story.

Integration status: portable Sites showroom. Native FastSites registry, editor blocks, controls, save/reload, preview, and publishing parity still require a separate port.
