Company formation
A clear path
to your Cyprus company.
Understand the decisions, documents and work involved before you begin. We make each stage visible, from your proposed name to life after registration.
Five stages.
One considered beginning.
Use the steps to see how the work fits together.
Clarify your plans
Discuss your activity, ownership, directors and the support you need. Confirm suitability and the scope before committing.
Prepare, then review
A name worth
thinking through.
Try a proposed name for your planning notes. This is not an availability check.
Add a proposed name to prepare your review. No registry search is performed.
No search, reservation or approval takes place here.
Before you commit
Agree what the
work covers.
Name planning, legal preparation, filing and certificates each have a place in the scope. Ask who carries out the work and which services renew annually.
Government guidance requires the appropriate Cyprus legal professional for the incorporation documents. Ask which qualified Cyprus professional will prepare the incorporation documents.
Review the document checklistCan I guarantee a company name?
No. A proposed name needs Registrar approval. An initial search cannot reserve a name or guarantee acceptance. This name tool does not perform a live registry search.
Can I begin the process from overseas?
Discuss your location, ownership and signing arrangements with the provider. Document, certification and due-diligence requirements depend on the circumstances; remote preparation does not mean automatic acceptance.
How long will registration take?
Name acceptance, document readiness, checks, translations and Registrar processing all affect the journey. Ask for a realistic estimate for your case rather than a guaranteed end-to-end date.
Who prepares the legal documents?
Government guidance requires a legal professional practising in Cyprus to draft the memorandum and articles and make the relevant HE1 statement. Your quote should explain who handles this work.
Where do I send identity documents?
Your chosen provider should explain its secure document process and requirements. Do not send identity documents through this enquiry form.
What should my quote explain?
Professional fees, government fees, VAT where applicable, optional extras, first-year services and recurring work should be shown separately. A basic Registrar filing charge is not an all-in formation price.
Are annual services included?
That depends on the agreed scope. Ask which registered-office, secretary, accounting and reporting services are included initially, and what renews, when and at what cost.
Is a bank account included in formation?
Company incorporation and bank onboarding are separate. A bank or payment provider carries out its own checks and makes its own decision. Assistance does not guarantee an account.
What happens after registration?
Plan for proper accounting records, financial statements and the registrations and filings relevant to your activity. Responsibilities, deadlines and any exemptions should be confirmed with an adviser.
Do beneficial owners need to be identified?
Cyprus has a beneficial ownership register. Discuss ultimate ownership and control, initial filing, changes and ongoing confirmation with your adviser. Incorporation is not a promise of anonymity.
Is the standard company tax rate still 12.5%?
PwC’s Cyprus summary, reviewed 4 August 2026, states a standard corporate income-tax rate of 15% from 1 January 2026. Your tax position depends on your circumstances; ask for advice rather than relying on a headline rate.
