The room sets the tone.

A useful music brief describes what surrounds the sound: people talking, a room changing shape, a moment of attention or a floor opening. Note those details before choosing a label for the set.

A room conversation

0 of 6 points noted

Describe the atmosphere in ordinary words.

Easy company, a little movement or a stronger lift can say more than a genre name on its own. Include what you would like people to be able to do while the music is playing.

If the event changes rooms or moves between indoor and outdoor spaces, flag that early. The venue and performer can discuss the actual technical and timing implications.

Keep the unanswered questions visible.

You do not need to know every practical answer to prepare a brief. Say which information is still with the venue and who can provide it.
