Let the material lead.

Seasonality is a conversation with what the florist can actually source. This collection describes three arrangement moods, rather than promising particular flowers at a particular time of year.

A bouquet, in proportion.

The same sample arrangement, held or placed. Choose a reason, a colour direction and a scale before writing to the florist.

The open focal flower gives the arrangement its centre. This stylised botanical study describes a role; the florist confirms the actual stems.

Presence in the room

The context drawing keeps the hands, vase and table at the same scale. It helps compare presence; it does not promise exact dimensions.

Soft & open

A pale group of focal flowers with airy stems and room around the heads. Ask the florist how that lightness can be achieved with their current material.

Rich & gathered

Deeper colour, a fuller silhouette and a green frame. A generous arrangement can still have movement and spaces between the stems.

Low & conversational

An arrangement considered from every side, with the scale of the table in mind. The vessel is part of the composition.

What can stay flexible?

The exact stem

Describe the effect you like and ask for alternatives if the named flower is unavailable. A substitution should still feel intentional.

The colour balance

A broad palette gives the florist space to choose. Say whether a colour is essential or simply a preference.

The silhouette

Compact, airy, gathered and low are useful words. Show the florist where the flowers will be placed or carried.
