Notes at the edge of the landscape.

These entries explain the role of three existing design labels. They contain no invented story history, characters or excerpts.

The lamplighter’s crossing

Original preview fiction and drawing / The lamplighter’s crossing

At the crossing

At the bridge, the lamplighter stopped to listen. Water carried the evening under the stones; somewhere beyond the bend, a bell sounded once and fell quiet. The lantern had not yet been lit.

On the opposite bank, a window opened. A hand set a small glass on the sill, catching the last of the sky. Only then did the lamplighter turn the wick. One light answered another, and the crossing became a path again.

The passage stays still when you open a note.

The moonlit valley

The main landscape gathers distance, architecture and a silver river into one cover-like composition. In this preview it is an entry point, not a navigable place.

An approved entry could identify the place, its relationship to the story and whether the note contains spoilers. The creator would supply the description and the connections to other entries.

The observatory

An architectural focus lets the page move from the broad landscape to a closer visual study. The label is retained from the homepage without assigning it a role in the narrative.

An approved entry could pair a creator-written description with the right image, then link to related passages or development notes when appropriate.

The forest path

A route-like label offers a smaller, quieter part of the index. It is a design cue; it is not a confirmed journey, quest or chapter setting.

An approved entry could distinguish a story location from a concept sketch and explain what the reader is allowed to know at this point.

The source belongs with the note

A world index is more useful when it says whether an entry is approved story material, development work or visual inspiration. Future cross-links should follow the creator’s own structure, including any spoiler boundaries.

The index keeps all three concept windows together.
