Lark Street · since 1998

Lessons with room to grow.

Piano, strings, voice, winds, and drums — taught in small rooms where a wrong note is just information.

Studios are quiet this week. Lessons resume Monday 26 October.

One new thing a week.

  1. 01

    Listen first

The opening ten minutes are last week's piece. Unpolished is the point. We hear what actually happened at home.

  2. 02

    One new thing

Never three. A bow, a breath, a bar. Then we stop while it is still interesting.

  3. 03

    Three lines

Every lesson ends in the notebook. What to keep, what to try, and one thing not to worry about.

Autumn Recital

Saturday 21 November 2026 · 4:00 in the afternoon

Twelve students, one room, no microphones. Pieces are short. If memory slips, the teacher is at the side.

The programme

“We came for piano and stayed because Elena writes three lines — what went well, what to try, and one thing not to worry about.”
