York · books and stationery

A bookshop for slow afternoons.

We are a single room on Quill Court for new fiction, the odd poem, notebooks you will actually use, and the next book someone here cannot stop talking about.

Open Tuesday to Sunday · 14 Quill Court, York

Reserve a book and pick it up from the counter. The checkout on this site is a demo.

  2. A monthly club

One novel, a handful of chairs, and questions we do not hide behind a spoiler warning unless you ask.

  3. Shelf talkers

If a book stays with someone on the team, they write the card themselves. No scripts.
