Getting here
The Old Bobbin Mill is on Hopwood Lane, about eight minutes’ walk from Halifax bus station and twelve from the railway station. The 501 and 502 stop on Gibbet Street, two minutes away. There are six parking spaces in the Yard, one of them a blue-badge bay next to the level entrance, and unrestricted street parking on Hopwood Lane after 6pm. The door is the one with the green enamel plate — not the roller shutter, which is the Yard. Access, honestly: there is a step at the front door with a portable ramp staff will put out on request, the ground floor and the Yard are level throughout, and there is an accessible toilet off the Main Hall. The Loft is up a staircase with no lift. Ring ahead on 01422 486 210 and we will have the ramp out and somebody watching the door. Room hire, if you are asking: the Weaving Room and the Loft are £22 an hour, or £12 for community groups based in Calderdale, and both are free to any group run by and for young people.
