Beyond the sitting fee.
A sitting fee covers our time and the studio; everything you take home — prints, frames, albums and files — is ordered separately once you have seen your gallery and chosen your favourites. Here is what it costs.
Prints, frames and albums
Ordered after your sitting, once you have chosen your favourites from the gallery — nothing here is charged automatically.

How pricing works
Every sitting has a fee, payable on booking, which covers our time, the studio and your online gallery — nothing else is included automatically. Once you have chosen your favourite frames from the gallery, you order prints, a frame or an album separately, at the prices above, and pay only for what you choose. There is no obligation to buy anything beyond the sitting fee, though in nineteen years as principal photographer Constance can count on one hand the sittings that ended without at least one print ordered. Wedding packages work slightly differently: the quoted day rate includes a set number of edited digital files, with prints and albums always ordered afterwards in the same way as a studio sitting.
Payment and delivery
We take card payments in the studio, bank transfer, or a payment link sent by email — whichever is easiest for you. Prints and mounted prints are usually ready within two weeks; framed pieces and albums take four to six, since both are made to order rather than kept in stock. Collection from Broad Street is always free; postal delivery is charged at cost and every frame travels in a case built for it, since we have all seen what a badly packed parcel does to a corner. If you need something for a specific date — a birthday, an anniversary, a gallery opening — tell us when you order, though heirloom frames especially are worth ordering with a little more notice than you think you need.
“The frame alone was worth it — my grandmother’s portrait had faded to nothing, and now it’s on the wall exactly as it was.”
A restoration client, 2025Why the Heirloom Frame costs what it does
Four house mouldings, cut and joined by hand in a small workshop we have used since the nineties rather than ordered from a catalogue, is most of the reason. The rest is time: every Heirloom Frame is fitted with UV-filtering glass to stop exactly the fading that brought most restoration clients to us in the first place, and every corner is checked twice before it leaves the building. It costs more than a frame from a shop, and it is meant to outlast the shop, the studio, and quite possibly the wall it hangs on.
