Services
Six things we do, and four we do not.
A short list, kept short on purpose. Everything here is done by employed cleaners we trained, with products we would use in our own kitchens, priced at the walk-round before anyone starts.
The regular work
Weekly or fortnightly housekeeping — from £22/hr
Minimum three hours, because two is a tidy-up and everybody ends up disappointed. Same cleaner, named cover, and a written note each visit saying what was done and what needs an eye on it.
Deep clean — from £340
A three-bed, two people, a full day: inside cupboards, behind appliances, limescale off everything, skirtings and frames by hand. Usually booked before Christmas, after building work, or when a house changes hands.
End-of-tenancy — from £395
Two-bed, priced against the agent’s own inventory checklist, and if the agent marks the clean down we come back within 48 hours at no charge.
Linen and laundry — £14 a basket
Collected on Tuesday, washed at the workshop, returned folded on Friday. Bed linen, towels and table linen; we do not take dry-clean-only or anything with a care label we cannot honour. Everything is washed at the temperature the fabric wants rather than the temperature that is quickest, line-dried when Somerset allows it, and ironed by Bea, who has opinions. Holiday-let owners tend to run this alongside changeovers so that a set is always ready.
Holiday-let changeovers — from £58
Frome and the villages have a lot of two-bedroom lets and a lot of same-day turnarounds. We do the full changeover: strip and remake, bathroom, kitchen, floors, bins, restock the welcome basics you leave us, and a photograph of each finished room sent to your phone before we lock up. If a guest has left something that needs a conversation, you hear it from us within the hour rather than from a review three days later. Forty changeovers a year for one Mells owner, and we have never been late for one.
Oven cleaning — £85, or £140 for a range
Dip-tank method: door glass, racks, trays and the fan cover come out and go into a heated tank in the van, so the caustic work happens outside your kitchen rather than in it. Roughly three hours for a single oven. It is the one job where we do use something stronger than plant-based, and we say so plainly, because pretending otherwise would be marketing rather than honesty.
The four we do not do
Windows above ground-floor level — that wants a ladder-trained operator with the right kit, and we will give you Mike’s number. Carpet and upholstery extraction: we do not own a machine good enough to be worth your money. Post-fire and post-flood restoration, which is specialist insurance work. And “blitz” cleans quoted over the phone without a walk-round — every one we ever tried ended with an argument about hours, so we stopped.
How a first visit usually goes
Nell walks the house with you and writes down hours per room rather than a single number, so you can see where the time goes and take something out if you would rather. You will be asked about pets, alarms, allergies, which surfaces you are precious about, and where the stopcock is — that last one has saved two houses. Then you get an email the same day with the hours, the rate, the name of the cleaner we would send and the earliest date they are free. Nobody rings you back to "see how you got on with the quote".
Do we come to your street?
Type your town and we will tell you which day our round reaches it and when the next regular slot opens. Everything below is a real opening in the diary, not a form that emails you back next week.

Half an hour, your kitchen table, no obligation.
Nell comes to you, walks the house, and writes the hours it honestly needs — not the hours that fit a package. You get the quote, the name of the person who would clean for you, and a month you can cancel any time.
