Noor El-Sayed does not map streets. She maps what a place sounds like when you are not performing for it.
Noor El-Sayed
A city drawn only in lines is a lie of convenience. I walk with two microphones and a notebook, and I mark where the air changes. A market has a grain. A hospital corridor has a grain. Static is not the absence of a signal. Often it is the signal.

What do you leave off the map?
Noor El-Sayed
Anything that only exists because I was holding a recorder. If the place goes quiet out of politeness, that is my footprint, not its voice.
