Care

Keep the correction.

The finish lasts as long as the wash does. Protection varies with care and conditions.

  1. Rinse first.

Loose grit should leave before a mitt ever touches paint. Wheels get their own bucket, always.

  2. Two buckets.

One for the soap, one to rinse the mitt. Grit guards earn their keep. Work top to bottom.

  3. Dry without dragging.

A clean drying towel, light pressure, or a blower if you have one. A dusty towel is how swirls return.

  4. Do not let chemistry sit.

Bird lime, bugs and tree sap come off the day you see them. A soaked cloth and patience beat a hard scrub.

Rather not

Automatic brushes. Dish soap. A mitt that lives on the garage floor. Wiping a dry, dusty panel because it “only needs a quick one.”
