A small studio with a long memory.
Greenleaf & Gate started in 2009 on Hartwell Lane, when a planting practice and a landscape crew stopped pretending they were separate companies.
The practice
Soil first. Then the drawing.
We work mostly within half an hour of Richmond because maintenance is a promise about Tuesdays, not a logo. Helen draws. Marcus builds. Priya runs the care routes and will overrule a planting plan that cannot be kept.
The name is literal. A gate is the moment a garden either invites you in or apologises. The leaf is the work after the photograph.

We would rather show a cut being made than a lineup in matching shirts. If you want to meet the person who will be in your garden, ask when you book. It will be one of these three, or someone they have trained.
