Sample How it works

Five steps

Edit the steps to match how the school works. The licence and test rules are for Great Britain.

Work out your hours

Before your first lesson

  1. Get your provisional licence

You need a provisional driving licence before you can learn on the road. Apply on GOV.UK. It arrives by post, so allow some time.

  2. Say hello and book a first lesson

Tell us your postcode and whether you want manual or automatic. The first lesson is mostly a chat, then a quiet bit of driving if you want it.

  3. Build the habit

One lesson a week suits many people. Intensive weeks exist if you are short on time. Every learner needs a different amount of time.

  4. Pass your theory test

In Great Britain you must pass the theory test before you can book the practical test. The fee goes to the official body, not to us.

  5. Book your practical test

Your instructor will tell you honestly when they think you are ready. The practical test fee is also paid to the official body.

Start with step two.

If your provisional licence is on its way, you can still say hello. This demo stays on your device.
