Light, honestly
Start with the window, not the plant.
Low light is a few metres from a window, or a north room. Medium is a bright room without a hot beam for hours. Bright is close to a sunny window. "Indirect" just means the sun isn't scorching the leaf at noon.

Easy, Steady and Fussy are the shop's own difficulty labels. Photos are illustrative, not our plants.
What we actually do
A shop, not a lifestyle brand.
We pick plants that cope with flats.
North light, radiators, the odd forgotten week. The fussy ones are labelled as fussy.
Pots with a plan for water.
If a cover pot has no hole, we'll tell you to keep the nursery pot inside it.
Delivery three days a week.
Monday to Wednesday, £6.95, and we pause for a hard frost rather than sending a tropical plant into a frozen van.
What to do this month
The season, without the fuss.
October
Indoors
Ease off watering and stop feeding most houseplants. Growth is slowing even if the heating has just come on.
Outside
Tender plants come in. A wet, cold pot kills more olives than a light frost does. Lift saucers so they can't freeze solid.

Not sure where to start
Six questions. Four plants.
Light, room, how you actually water, and whether a pet shares the house. You'll get a short "why this one" with each match.
Open the plant finder
Or come in.
14 Moss Lane, London E8 3AB. Bring a photo of the corner you're trying to fill. That is more useful than the name of a plant you saw on a bus.
