FAQ
Before you ask it on the night.
Straight answers. Where the truth is “this site is a demo”, we say that rather than pretending a message has been sent.
On the day
How early do you arrive?
For a reception, about 90 minutes before guests. Ceremony sound is in place about 45 minutes before the start. Corporate load-ins are earlier if the room is being built around us. We write the time in the quote.
Do you take requests?
Yes. Send the songs that matter, the moment they belong to, and a do-not-play list. On the night we still have to read the room. The form on each event page is a demo and stays in your browser.
What power do you need?
A normal UK wall circuit is enough for a reception system. We will ask about the room before we promise a large sub. Generators and odd supplies are quoted, not assumed.
How loud will it be?
Dinner is conversation volume. The floor is loud enough to dance, not loud enough to hurt. If the venue has a limiter or a curfew, that wins.
Do you bring lighting?
Uplighting is a £150 add-on. It is a room wash, not a concert look. If you want more, we will say it is outside this package.
Money and booking
What does the wedding price include?
£650 covers up to five hours of reception DJing, a planning call, a timeline, speakers for the room, one wireless mic and a backup player. Ceremony sound is £120. Lighting is £150. Extra hours are £80.
What if we run late?
We can often stay. It is £80 an hour, agreed with someone who can authorise it, before the extra hour starts. We do not surprise you with it afterwards.
How do deposits work?
On a real job, a date is held when the deposit is paid and we have confirmed by email. This website cannot take a deposit. The availability page only stores a demo note.
What about insurance?
A real Night Signal booking pack would include the public liability schedule. There is no real policy behind this demo, so we are not publishing a fake certificate number.
This site
Is this website taking bookings?
No. Night Signal is fictional. Forms save to local storage on your device so you can try the interface. Clear them whenever you like.
