Installing FastSites Email
Windows will show a warning the first time. Nothing is wrong. Here is what you will see, and the three clicks to get past it.
Why does Windows warn me?
Windows warns about any program that does not yet carry a paid publisher certificate. FastSites Email is new and we have not bought one yet. The warning is about that missing certificate. It is not Windows saying it found something harmful. The program is made by FSITES LTD, the company behind FastSites, and it is built automatically from our own code.
If you would rather not click through a warning, use the web version. It is the same mail client, with nothing to install.
- 1
Download it
Click the button above. A file called FastSites-Email-Setup lands in your Downloads folder. It is about 113 MB.
- 2
If your browser asks, keep it
Chrome or Edge may say the file is “not commonly downloaded”. That is because the app is new. Choose Keep (in Chrome, the three dots, then Keep).
- 3
Open it
Double-click the file. Windows may show a blue box that says “Windows protected your PC”. Click the small words More info. The setup window may say “GetInbox”. That is the program’s internal name: it is the same program, and once it is installed it is called FastSites Email.
- 4
Run anyway
A button called Run anyway appears. Click it. FastSites Email installs for you only. It does not need an administrator password.
- 5
Sign in
FastSites Email opens. Add your own email address, or any Gmail, Outlook, iCloud or other email account.
Still unsure?
That is fine. Stop at any step, nothing has changed on your computer until you click Run anyway. You can also ask us and we will walk you through it.
