YOUR NEXT CHAPTER
Your content.
Your next home.
Moving on should come with a clear handover. Take a free copy of your supported customer content, choose your new host, and make the move at your own pace.

START WITH WHAT IS YOURS
Get your content, for free.
The free customer-content ZIP gives you supported text, page hierarchy and SEO in structured files. Use it as a handover to a developer, or as a source for rebuilding your website in another editor.
Customer-content ZIP
Structured JSON, an SEO CSV, a migration README and a compatibility report. Supported embedded images are optional, subject to your rights confirmation.
For handover & rebuildingOptional neutral HTML
Simple public pages and navigation, with supported local images if included. It does not preserve the premade theme, original styling or a working backend.
For a simple static website- Save, then choose your snapshot. Open website export and sign in if prompted. Select a website you own and its server-saved live or staging snapshot. Unsaved browser changes and the separate Website Brief are not included.
- Choose your content. Select the free content option. For static hosting, keep “Include neutral HTML pages” selected. Include supported embedded PNG, JPEG, GIF or WebP images only if you have the rights to take and host them elsewhere.
- Review before downloading. Read the compatibility report for page coverage, unsupported blocks and omitted media. Linked files, fonts, SVG, videos and external images are not fetched or bundled; arrange those separately where you have permission. Confirming image rights does not itself verify ownership or a redistribution licence.
- Keep and check your download. Save the ZIP securely, extract it and read
README-MIGRATION.txt. Check the file list and manifest checksums. A download starting is not proof that it saved correctly or works on another host.
A restore backup is a different tool.
A FastSites restore backup is for restoring a supported snapshot within FastSites. It is not an editable import into WordPress, Hostinger or GoDaddy. The free content ZIP and neutral HTML are not native editable projects for those builders either; rebuilding or a separately verified adapter is needed.
GIVE YOUR PAGES A NEW ADDRESS
Host the neutral HTML.
Choose a host that serves ordinary static HTML files. You can use its file manager, SFTP or static upload tool; no FastSites editor is required to serve these pages.
- Extract the public ZIP locally. Find
neutral-html/. If that folder is absent, create another public content export with neutral HTML selected. A structured-only or private ZIP cannot be uploaded as a public website. - Upload only the CONTENTS of neutral-html/. Put
index.html,pages/and any includedmedia/directly in your host’s web root or static publish directory. Keep their relative paths together. - Test on the host’s preview address. Open the home page, every page link and all included images. Check mobile layout, page titles, missing content and any replacements you have added. Arrange redirects separately if page addresses change.
- Connect your domain when ready. Follow your new host’s DNS and HTTPS instructions after the preview works and replacement services are tested. Keep your current hosting available during the change and allow for DNS propagation.
neutral-html/Open this folderindex.htmlpages/media/if included
Upload these contents to the web root.
Keep the rest offline. Do not upload the whole ZIP, private files, structured content JSON, manifests, rights files or reports, including compatibility-report.json.
Neutral pages are a practical starting point. They do not automatically reproduce your finished design or connect your business services.
PLAN THE PARTS BEHIND THE PAGES
Move your services separately.
A static export carries supported content. These features require separate migration, replacement and testing; a downloaded ZIP does not make them work elsewhere.
Forms
Rebuild your forms and submission handling. Test delivery, consent and spam protection; submissions do not move in this ZIP.
Shops, memberships & bookings
Arrange a reviewed migration of products, orders, members and bookings. Replace checkout, access rules and scheduling before launch.
FastBot & backend services
FastBot, databases, business records, analytics and other backend services are not included. Set up and test replacements with your new provider.
Email & DNS
Move mailboxes separately if needed. Preserve mail DNS records, including MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC, when changing website DNS. Test sending and receiving.
Custom code, redirects, uploaded downloads and third-party assets also need their own compatibility and rights review. Use the export’s omissions report to build your migration checklist.
CONTENT AND DESIGN ARE DIFFERENT
Want to take the finished premade design?
The proposed paid export covers one supported finished website, not the reusable template catalogue, FastSites editor or platform source code.
Not enabled yet. Paid finished-design export will remain unavailable until design and asset rights, final licence terms and export compatibility have been verified. The staging review journey can check supported saved snapshots; it does not automatically grant rights or enable a purchase.
Open the finished-site compatibility review or read the website export licence draft. For a cleared finished-site ZIP, upload only the contents of website/ to your new host and keep owner-reports/ offline.
Customer-owned DIY content and design carry no premade theme fee. The free customer-content export remains free.
If portability was included in your earlier agreement, that promise will be honoured after the relevant records are verified. You will not be automatically charged a new licence fee. Ask support to review the agreement or order reference.
A portable export will not use a remote display lock. Migration does not give anyone the right to redistribute third-party assets outside their licence.
MAKE THE MOVE ON YOUR TERMS
Check first. Cancel separately.
Exporting does not cancel your hosting subscription. Cancellation is an entirely separate account and billing process. Exporting does not change billing, transfer your domain, update DNS or move your email.
- Your ZIP is saved, extracted and checked, with any private content stored securely.
- The new host serves every intended public page, image and link over HTTPS, including on mobile.
- Forms, shops, memberships, bookings and any other replacement services have been tested.
- Website DNS, redirects and email records are in place; mail sends and receives correctly.
- You have reviewed cancellation terms and any separate domain, email or other subscriptions.
Once the move is verified, request cancellation through your account’s cancellation process or ask support for help. Confirm the effective date and which services will end before relying on it.
A CLEARER HANDOVER
Need help with your move?
Tell us which website you are moving, your destination and what the compatibility report lists as missing. For an earlier portability agreement, include its reference. Keep private archives and passwords out of public messages.
