Your theme sets a good default palette, but the Colour Palette dialog (Site Settings › Colour Palette) lets you go further — down to individual sections and widgets — without switching themes.
The tabs, and what each one controls
- Themes — the whole-site look: fonts, shapes, and the theme's own colour variations. Start here if you want a different overall style.
- Colours — your site's core colour set: brand colour, accents, backgrounds. Overrides apply on top of whichever theme you've picked.
- Sections — colour per section type (hero, testimonials, pricing, and so on) — useful when one section should stand out from the rest of the page.
- Integrations — colour for the blocks belonging to a connected product, so a booking calendar or a review widget can match your brand even though it's a shared component.
- Components — the small on-page widgets (like the preloader) that carry their own colour independent of any one section.
Previewing before you commit
Every change in this dialog is staged — the live preview updates instantly, but nothing touches your published site until you click Apply colours. Try a few combinations; there's no cost to changing your mind before applying.
Light and dark mode
If your theme supports dark mode, use the Light/Dark toggle above the preview while you're setting colours — a colour that reads well in light mode can disappear entirely in dark mode, so it's worth checking both before you apply.
Uploading your own theme
If none of the built-in themes are close enough, the Themes tab also supports uploading a custom theme file (JSON or ZIP) — useful if you've had a bespoke palette designed for you. An example file is available in the same dialog to show the expected format.
