FastSites starts from a real, finished-looking template rather than a blank page — the fastest way to see your business online is to pick one that's close to what you want and adjust it, not build it up from nothing.
1. Pick a template
From your dashboard, open the template picker. Templates are grouped by trade and by size — a one-page "Mini" site, a fuller "Standard" multi-page site, or a "Premium" layout with more pages and room for extras. Pick whichever matches how big your business needs its site to be; you can always add pages later as an add-on, so this isn't a permanent decision.
2. Land in the editor
Choosing a template drops you straight into the FastSites editor with that template's sections already in place — a hero, an about section, services, contact details, all populated with placeholder copy and images. Nothing is empty; it's a real site you're editing, not a form you're filling in.
3. Swap in your own details
Click directly on any heading, paragraph or image to edit it in place. Start with the obvious ones: your business name in the header, your phone number and address in the contact section, and the hero photo. You don't need to finish every section in one sitting — changes save as you go.
4. Check it on mobile
Use the device switcher in the editor toolbar to preview your site at a phone width, not just desktop. Small business visitors are disproportionately on mobile, so this is worth doing before you publish, not after.
What's next
Once the basics are in place, the natural next steps are picking a theme (see Choosing and applying a site theme) and then publishing (see Publishing your site and what happens after).
