About

A yard in Didsbury, not a call centre in another city.

Fixwell is a small heating and plumbing team. The person who quotes the job is on the same board as the person who turns up.

We started because too many “local” numbers were a script, then a subcontracted van, then a bill that did not match the phone call. The rule here is dull on purpose: say the price, do the job, email what changed.

Gas work is Gas Safe registered. Plumbing that is not gas still gets the same paperwork habit — a note of what failed, what we fitted, and how long the workmanship is covered (twelve months).

What we will not do

  • Sell a new boiler because a sensor failed
  • Leave you without a name for the engineer
  • Add a call-out fee on top of a repair we already agreed
