Upstairs · The Solenne studio

A shop with a
cutting table.

  1. Cloth arrives as a whole roll

We lay it by hand, in a room you can visit, not a factory we have never seen.

  2. A block with a longer back waist

The shirt dress is cut on the straight grain, and the column has almost no ease through the hip.

  3. Fitting included

Alterations on Solenne are part of the first fitting. We can hem other labels when the cloth allows.

  4. Thursday afternoons are for mending

A repair is how a jumper stays for a decade.

On mending

A repair is not a lesser thing. It is how a jumper stays for a decade, and why Thursday afternoons are kept for it.
