Six labels

One label cut here, five bought because we would wear them. No licences, no logos shouting from the cloth.

In-house

Dresses, shirts and a trouser

Solenne

Cut on the table upstairs. Dresses, a shirt dress and a trouser, with a longer back waist and alterations included at the first fitting.

The cutting table: shears, thread and paper patterns in north light.

Read inside the cutting room.

The pieces

    Knitwear

    Merino and Geelong

    Northloom

Knitted at a small Scottish mill. We buy oxblood, oat and ink, and we do not add a fourth colour to fill a photograph.

Oxblood merino knit next to camel wool cloth.

    The pieces

      Tailoring

      Trousers

      Marrow

Trousers with a longer rise and a leg that breaks once on a boot. Inside leg 78cm unless we alter it.

Not sure of your size? The size guide has the rise and the leg.

      The pieces

        Shirting

        Oxford and poplin

        Cinder Row

Oxford and poplin woven in Portugal. Soft collars, mother-of-pearl, hems long enough to stay tucked through a working day.

        The pieces

          Outerwear

          Coats and boots

          Hearthline

Wool coats and suede boots made to be walked in. Hardware is matte. The Walker coat clears a knit without becoming costume.

          The pieces

            Evening cloth

            Slips, skirts, loafers

            Lumen

Cupro slips, a bias skirt and a leather loafer for the hours after work. Nothing beaded.
