Services

Room by room

Each room has its own sheen, its own prep, and its own kind of light. The scope is written that way.

  1. Living room

Usually one deeper wall and a warm plaster everywhere else, so the sofa is not competing with the architecture.

    Finish
Walls in matte. Woodwork in eggshell. Ceiling in a soft white, not a blue-white.
    Prep
Fill hairline cracks, spot-prime stains, and caulk the skirting before any colour goes on.
    Time
Three to five days for a typical reception.

    Guides from £1,150

  2. Bedroom

Quieter colour, fewer joins, and a finish that still looks even when the lamp is the only light.

    Finish
All-over matte. Woodwork one step lighter than the wall, in eggshell.
    Prep
We move what we can, tent the rest, and cut in by hand around the cornice.
    Time
    Two to four days.

    Guides from £780

  3. Kitchen

Steam, splashes, and cupboard doors that need a harder sheen than a bedroom wall.

    Finish
Walls in wipeable matte. Doors and trim in eggshell or satin.
    Prep
Degrease, key the existing coating, and prime bare patches before the colour coats.
    Time
Four to six days, often while the room stays partly usable.

    Guides from £1,480

  4. Hall & stairs

The longest lines in the house. A colour break at dado height keeps a narrow hall from feeling like a tunnel.

    Finish
Lower wall in eggshell where bags brush past. Upper wall in matte.
    Prep
Spindles are masked, not rushed. Newel joints are filled before the first coat.
    Time
Three to five days, including drying between coats.

    Guides from £980

  5. Bathroom

Moisture-minded prep and a colour that does not turn cold under a frosted window.

    Finish
Moisture-resistant matte on walls. Satin on woodwork. We do not paint tile.
    Prep
Mildew treated, edges sealed, extractor checked before we close the door to dry.
    Time
    Two to three days.

    Guides from £640

  6. Dining room

Evening light is the test. Deep colour can hold a table without swallowing the ceiling rose.

    Finish
Rich matte on walls. Eggshell on the joinery so it can be wiped after supper.
    Prep
Lining paper only where the plaster asks for it, not as a habit.
    Time
    Three to four days.

    Guides from £920

  7. Nursery

Low-odour paints, a simple palette, and edges a small hand will meet at skirting height.

    Finish
Scrubbable matte. Woodwork in eggshell, fully cured before the room is dressed.
    Prep
We ventilate properly and leave a written note of products used.
    Time
Two to three days, plus cure time.

    Guides from £690

  8. Exterior

Masonry, joinery, and the front door, scheduled around weather rather than a wishful date.

    Finish
Breathable masonry paint. Exterior eggshell or gloss on joinery.
    Prep
Loose material removed, repairs pointed, and bare timber primed the same day it is sanded.
    Time
A terrace front is often a week, weather allowing.

    Guides from £2,400

Guides are starting points for a straightforward room. A walk-through confirms the figure.

What we take on

Interior, exterior, paper, woodwork

  • Interior painting

Walls, ceilings, and the quiet repair work that makes new colour look intentional.

  • Exterior painting

Masonry and joinery, timed to a dry window rather than a fixed Monday.

  • Wallpaper & lining

Lining where the plaster needs it. Patterned paper hung plumb, with the pattern matched.

  • Woodwork & trim

Skirting, doors, and windows eased, filled, and finished in the sheen the room can live with.

  • Colour consultation

A short edit in the house: samples on the wall, a palette of three, and a note you can keep.

  • Rentals & small commercial

Turnarounds for flats and shopfront rooms that still have to look considered.

How we work

Five steps, most of them unglamorous

The colour is step four. Everything before it is why the room still looks right next year.

Full process

  1. Walk-throughWe look at the rooms with you and write what is actually in the way.
  2. Colour editSamples go on the wall, in the light the room really has.
  3. Protect & prepFloors covered, fittings masked, surfaces made ready.
  4. Paint & paperThin coats, cut in by hand, sheen chosen room by room.
  5. Snag & careWe walk it with you, then leave a short note on washing and touch-up.

A note is enough to book a walk-through. We reply with times, not a brochure. Your details stay in this browser’s studio desk — this preview does not send them to a server.
