About / team

A housekeeping lead, a key book, and a rota that tells the truth.

Brightside started in 2016 when Mara left hotel housekeeping and decided Seabrook had enough agencies and not enough people who came back.

The company

Employed, insured, and still small on purpose.

We do not send a stranger from an app. The people on this page are the people in the houses. Public liability sits at £5 million. Keys are signed in and out.

We cover Seabrook-on-Sea and the harbour villages. If you are past Saltmere, ask — sometimes the van is already going that way.

What we will not do

  • Invent a scent and call it cleanliness.
  • Quote one number and invoice another.
  • Move a piano, or decide which paper is rubbish.
  • Pretend a marketplace profile is a colleague.

Team

Four people. The van is not a crowd.

Mara Ellison

Founder

Ran housekeeping for a 40-room hotel on the front before starting Brightside in 2016. Still does a Thursday round.

Jonah Peck

Office routes

Looks after the Glassworks and Old Market studios. Keeps the key book and the early alarm.

Amina Shah

Deep cleans

The person we send when plaster dust, scale, or an end-of-tenancy inventory is involved.

Lewis Hart

Client care

Answers the phone, builds the rotas, and is the reason the quote on the site matches the invoice.

Monograms rather than portraits: the team is part of the fictional company, so there are no photos of them.

Next visit

Tell us the place. We’ll tell you the morning.

Most first visits are inside two days. If the diary is full, Lewis says so rather than inventing a slot.
