V60
The house method. Two pours after a bloom. We want a clear cup and a drawdown that finishes before the bed goes dry and bitter.
You need
- V60
- Paper filter, rinsed
- Gooseneck kettle
- Scale
- Server

Dose & ratio
- Dose
- 15g
- Ratio
- 1:16
- WATER
- 240g
- TEMPERATURE
- 94°C
GRIND Medium-fine, like table salt
- 0:00
Bloom
Pour about twice the dose in water. Wet the whole bed. Swirl the dripper once so the grounds settle flat.
- 0:45
First pour
Pour in slow circles up to just past half the total water. Keep the stream thin. Do not hit the paper.
- 1:20
Second pour
Reach the final weight. A small swirl now levels the bed. If it is already draining fast, grind finer tomorrow.
- 2:30
Drawdown
The bed should finish near 2:45. A blond, stalling drip past 3:15 means the grind is too fine or the filter is choked.
