Issue 14 · The October roast

Coffee, considered carefully.

Small lots from farms we can name. Roasted in Oakland, shipped the week of the roast, and written up like a magazine — not a menu.

The club

Two bags. One cadence. Roasted the morning they ship.

No mystery box copy. You pick how often, we pick the lots — or you hold a single coffee at the club rate.

Origin · Kenya

Currant, not candy.

The soak is where the currant gets its edge. Skip it and the cup is only sweet.

SL28 and SL34 from Kiamabara. A long ferment, a wash, a soak. The cup is savory blackcurrant and grapefruit pith.

Photographs on this site are stock images used as illustration. They are not from the named lots, farms or places.
