Process

Listen, then draw.

The stages overlap in practice. The line is here so you can see what each one is for, and what you leave with.

  1. Stage 01

    Listen

A working session and the constraints in plain language: who it is for, what must change, what must not, and what the budget band will bear.

    Deliverable A written project brief.

A bare desk with a pot of pencils, a lamp base and a sketchbook
    Library photo, not the studio.
  2. Stage 02

    Explore

Territories, not a spray of logos. Usually three directions, each with a reason, a mark and one application — enough to choose, not enough to confuse.

    Deliverable Three directions.

  3. Stage 03

    Define

We agree the idea we will protect. Naming, if it is in scope, settles here. So does the sentence the rest of the work has to obey.

    Deliverable A one-page brand strategy.

Glasses and pens on an open notebook on a desk

  4. Stage 04

    Design

Identity, type, colour and the first real applications. This is the long part. We would rather redraw a mark twice than explain it forever.

    Deliverable The visual identity.

  5. Stage 05

    Deliver

Guidelines, files and a handover you can actually use. We stay for the questions that show up when someone else has to set the wordmark.

    Deliverable A brand toolkit.
