Privacy

Confidentiality is the frame. These are the edges of it.

This page is written for a demonstration practice. A live clinic would name its data controller, retention periods, and how to complain to the ICO.

In the room

What you say is not repeated to partners, employers, or family. Nora keeps brief notes so the thread of the work is not held only in memory. Notes are factual, stored securely, and kept no longer than the practice policy requires.

Supervision

The work is discussed in clinical supervision without your full name. That is so the counsellor is not the only person thinking about your safety and the quality of the work. It is not a disclosure to anyone who knows you.

Limits

Confidentiality is broken only when there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else, or when the law requires it. The aim is to talk with you first, unless that conversation would increase the risk.

Enquiries

On this theme preview, the enquiry form does not send or store what you type. A production form would post to a private inbox, keep the message only as long as needed to reply and arrange sessions, and would never be used for a newsletter. There is no database behind the form here.

The website

This demonstration does not use accounts, and it does not save any choices in your browser. Nothing you do on these pages is kept as personal clinical information.

When you are ready

The door does not need to be dramatic.

A first conversation is fifty minutes. You can decide afterwards whether to continue.
