A secure connection comes as standard.

SSL enables encrypted HTTPS connections, helping keep information private as it travels between your visitors and your site. It comes with every plan.

On your own domain

Your own domain gets its own certificate.

Sites on a fastsites.app address are covered by our certificate. If you connect your own domain, it gets its own.

Point your domain at us

We show you the exact records to add, step by step, in your dashboard.

2

We check it

Once your domain points to us, your dashboard shows the setup moving on.

3

We issue the certificate

Your domain needs a valid certificate before it can serve a secure connection.

4

Your site opens on HTTPS

Visitors can inspect the secure connection in their browser. You don’t install anything.

What SSL does

With SSL, your address starts with https instead of http. A valid certificate lets browsers establish an encrypted connection, protecting information in transit, including information submitted through your contact form.

A certificate can only be issued once your domain’s records point to us. If HTTPS is not ready, check the DNS and certificate status in your dashboard, or contact support.

    Check the address

Look for https:// and check the domain is the one you intended to visit. Some browsers hide the prefix until you select the address.

  2. 02

    Open the connection details

Select the site-information control beside the address. It may look like sliders, a shield or a padlock. Check the connection status and certificate information.

  3. 03

    Take warnings seriously

If your browser reports an unsafe connection or certificate problem, stop before entering sensitive information. HTTPS protects the connection; it does not prove a business is trustworthy.

Questions

People also ask

Will my site use a secure HTTPS connection?

Yes. SSL is included and set up for you. If you connect your own domain, its certificate is issued automatically once your domain’s records point to us. Check the connection details beside the browser address; the icon varies between browsers.
