Kings Wharf Exchange

A Grade A workplace on a working wharf. Bronze fins, a clear 15-metre span, and a neighbour who never stopped trading.

Curved glass office building rising above a paved riverside walk

Meridian needed a headquarters building that could be let floor-by-floor if their own occupation shrank. The frame is steel, bolted at the primary connections so the upper floors could be released while the podium was still closing in.

The wharf stayed live. Deliveries came off the river at nominated tides and off a one-way street the rest of the week. The logistics plan was part of the tender, not an appendix written after award.

Handed over at BREEAM Excellent, with the façade package let nine weeks earlier than the stage-four programme assumed.
