EV charger installs

Load assessment, dedicated circuit, and a charger that will not nuisance-trip the house.

  • Supply capacity checked first
  • CT clamp or load management
  • PEN-fault protection
  • OZEV paperwork if you are eligible

How the job runs

A 7kW charger on a 60-amp supply with an electric shower and an induction hob will not work without load management. We measure the supply before we sell you a wall unit.

The circuit is its own RCBO, the cable route is agreed (not improvised across the hall), and the certificate is emailed the same week.

Before a charger

What we want to know first.

Read the board your charger will ask for.

  • The size of the supply
  • The earthing arrangement
  • Spare ways in the board
  • What else runs for a long time — heaters, a hot tub, a heat pump

On call
