Challenge

Staff described the annual all-hands as the meeting they watched on mute. Questions went into a form and came back as a note the following week.

Approach

A forty-five-minute broadcast from a canal-side room. Questions were submitted live from four sites and moderated by people who do not report to the executive team.

Result

Question volume was higher than the previous all-hands. In this sample, the awkward ones were answered on the night.
