01

Challenge

The relaunch risked becoming a speech about a redesign nobody had held yet. The editor had forty slides and twenty-five minutes of patience in the room.

02

Approach

Guests were handed a printed copy at the door. The evening was a twenty-five-minute tour of five pages, then tables hosted by section editors. No showreel.

03

Result

People read during dinner. The speech stayed short enough that the issue, not the introduction, was what they discussed.

“I had already turned three pages before anyone welcomed me.”
