01

Challenge

The firm’s awards night ran long, felt like a school prize-giving, and hid the people being celebrated behind a host with too many notes.

02

Approach

A ninety-minute ceremony, then dinner. Winners were filmed in their own offices the week before and shown for forty seconds. Each table had a prompt, not a stack of speeches.

03

Result

The room stayed full through the last award. The next-day write-ups, in this sample, mentioned the work rather than the flowers.

“It finally felt like the work was the point, not the trophy table.”
