01

Challenge

Clinicians in smaller hospitals could not travel, but the useful disagreement always happened in the room. The old webcast was something people put on mute.

02

Approach

Two hundred and forty people met in London. The rest joined facilitated discussion rooms, not a passive stream. A producer ran the handoff between the room and the remote groups.

03

Result

Remote attendance held past the lunch break. The awkward clinical questions were debated in the session, not in a follow-up email chain.

“People online were in the discussion. They were not watching a film of it.”
