01The cost is people, not the laptop
A credible hybrid day needs a producer who is not also the host, an operator, and moderators for the remote rooms. That is often two to four extra people. Their fees are the line that surprises teams who budgeted for ‘a stream’.
02What you can skip
A custom set. A jib. A twenty-camera show. If the point is a town hall with questions, a clean table, two locked cameras and a rehearsal will beat a spectacle nobody needed. Spend the money on the rehearsal instead.
03A rough band
For a single-site briefing with remote guests in discussion rooms, production often starts around £18k and sits nearer £35k–£80k once a proper room, moderators and a rehearsal are in. This is a planning band, not a quote.
